Water

In Water: Maintain a constant water level, covering the base of the stems, and replace the water every 1-2 weeks. Use clean, filtered water, as tap water chemicals can harm the plant. Ensure the roots are submerged but the top portion remains dry.

Slightly acidic to neutral soil is preferred, with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0.
Repot every couple of years or when it becomes root-bound.

Fertilization

During the growing season (spring and summer), fertilize once a month with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength.
If grown in water, use a water-soluble fertilizer specifically for hydroponic plants like lucky bamboo

Reusing soil is not recommended unless it’s sterilized and sifted. Old soil may harbor pathogens, lose structure, or have depleted nutrients.

Place in bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct afternoon sun which can scorch the leaves. A well-lit windowsill is ideal.

Follow the “soak and dry” method: water thoroughly, then let the soil dry out completely before watering again.
